The Smith's Visited

Last weekend our friends, Jeremy & Lisa Smith and their son, Carter, came to visit. The Smith's live in KC and we hung out with them ALL the time when we lived there. We go back and visit as often as possible, but it had been 8 months since we've seen them.

On Saturday, Jeremy went to the Bluegrass Workshop (he's an EXCELLENT guitar and banjo player). While he was gone Lisa, Carter, Ryan, Adrianne and I played. We found a big box for Carter to play with. He crawled through it a bunch and then started using it as a surf board.

Carter loved Ellie. She did so well with him, we were shocked. He was climbing all over her and sitting on her and she just layed there.
Saturday night we went to dinner at DeFazio's (one of the best Italian Restaurants here in Wichita). Jeremy ordered a calzone that was the size of a pie and it was soooo good, we all tried a bite. Adrianne got to try spaghetti for the first time, it was super messy but she loved it.
After dinner it was bath time. Adrianne had her first co-ed bath. She loves bath time, so it was even better with a buddy.
After we got the kids to bed, the four of us played Settlers of Catan (one of Ryan's and my favorite games). Sunday we had pancakes for breakfast and then the Smith's had to head out early because of the weather. Thanks Jeremy, Lisa and Carter for a great weekend. It was so good to see you and SO much fun! Hopefully we can come visit you soon!
