Ryan's New Job

Most of you already know this, but I thought I would post it just in case you haven't heard... Ryan's got a new job! When Ryan was off during furlough in July he started applying for jobs and had two companies interested in him and interviewed with both and at that time did not get either job. Well, in November one of the companies called back and wanted to know if he was still intersted in the position and wondered if he would entertain an offer. So of course we said yes! We got the offer, weighed the salary and benefits to that of Cessna's and decided that we could not make the switch to the new company because of the crappy health benefits. When we told them that they said they were getting new benefits for next year and we should hold off on making a decision until we see the new benefits. We got the new benefit information the following week, checked it out and it was much closer to that of Cessna's but we were still a little concerned about the out of pocket expenses we might have with the health insurance. We did some negotiating with them and that was enough that Ryan could not turn down the job. On December 21st, Ryan will be starting his new job with Great Plains Industries (GPI)! We are super excited to be making this change, Ryan will be doing more of what he enjoys at work and we won't have to worry about furloughs and layoffs! We are thanking God for this great opportunity he has given us!
